Guests of the Nation, a Review of Conflicts Essay -- European Literatu

Visitors of the Nation, a short story by Frank O'Connor happens in 1921 during Ireland's battle for freedom from British guideline. Set in a little cabin in the wide open of Ireland, the story recounts two Englishmen who are detainees and are being looked out for by three Irishmen. The story recounts the relationship that creates between the hostages and their captors and investigates the contention that emerges when the warriors are called to obligation. The story comprised of seven principle characters, each adding profundity to the story and adding to the improvement of the plot. Two of the seven characters where the Englishmen Hawkins and Belcher. Hawkins was a little Englishman with a vile tongue who never did a stroke of work, however in spite of this, he was a companion and pal to two of the fighters.
